HBTF wins Best Bank Award
The London-based preeminent international finance magazine Euromoney has named Housing Bank for Trade & Finance (HBTF) as the “Best Bank in Jordan” citing its leadership in Jordan’s financial sector.
The award is part of the annual “Euromoney Awards for Excellence”, regarded as the benchmark awards for financial services globally.
Euromoney said, “The Housing Bank for Trade and Finance delivered a 17 percent rise in operating income to JD203.7 million, while maintaining its position as the lead arranger of infrastructure finance in the country. In an increasingly competitive market Euromoney believes that banks will need to increase use of electronic channels to stay ahead of the game and Housing Bank was a leader in this regard.”
“The bank has also continued to deliver its commitment to using quality IT systems. It has the largest ATM network (25 percent of all in the country) and its electronic banking services also grew rapidly,” it added.
HBTF Chairman Dr Michel Marto expressed pleasure at the award saying “it reaffirms the great confidence in the Bank and in its performance and capabilities displayed by its clients and international financial institutions.”
Marto added that “HBTF’s commitment to the ideals of innovation and excellence has been behind the strong performance we have been witnessing, and the large recognition we continue to receive.
