Amman is also considered as one of the oldest city on earth, as excavation have shown that people were living there 3500 years before Christ.At this period it was called Rabbat Ammon and has permanently been inhabited since then. Amman became capital of Transjodania in 1920 and capital of Hashemite Kingdom in 1950, today it's a busy town with 2 millions inhabitants.
